Beyond Art Charity Auction 2024
for Dråpen i Havet

On September 26, 2024, Beyond Art Raised 55,000 NOK to Support Dråpen i Havet’s Humanitarian Efforts at Annual Charity Auction

Oslo, Norway – November 12, 2024 Beyond Art is proud to announce that we raised 55,000 NOK at our annual charity auction held at Rebel in Oslo.  We have donated the money to Dråpen i Havet, a Norwegian non-profit organization dedicated to supporting refugees in crisis. Dråpen i Havet will dedicate the funds raised to support the charity’s  humanitarian initiatives in Athens, where they provide essential aid and volunteer support to displaced persons.

The auction, held on September 26, 2024, featured an impressive selection of donated artworks from established and emerging artists affiliated with Beyond Art. Guests had the opportunity to bid on the art and to participate in a silent auction as well as a lottery.  Our featured speaker, Trude Jakobsen, the founder of Dråpen i Havet, highlighted the organization's impactful work and made a heartfelt plea for sorely needed donations. Adding to the evening’s ambiance, Elia Ardiles once again performed her musical magic and the Rusty Blondes gave us a choral  performance bringing to a close a memorable event in support of an important cause.

“This year, thanks to the generosity of art donors, bidders, and our committed volunteers, we raised 55,000 NOK - an increase from last year’s 45,000 NOK,” said Susan Clark, President of Beyond Art. “These funds will support Dråpen i Havet’s vital mission in Athens, providing essential resources to those in need.” In 2023, the funds Beyond Art raised were used to support Dråpen i Havet’s work in a refugee camp on Lesvos, Greece.

Participating artists included Camilla Bergvold Hauger, Neena Singh, Oksana Ketova, Elena Eilrich, Monika Stø, Fatima Khan, Lea Nasnas Chami, Linda Kristiansen, Nico Widerberg, Alf Christian Hvaring, Bruce Naigles, Dag Hol, Jørgen Holen, Thomas Nesland Olsen, Hope Baylon, Sahar Ajami, Barbora Kysilkova, Nancy Bundt, Roshan Gamage, Christian Hauglie-Hanssen, Maryam Abtahi, Mia Gjerdrum Helgesen, Zarina A. Hagen, Olesya Skorodumova, and Karen Clark-Schock.

Beyond Art has held these annual charity auctions since 2014, bringing together artists, philanthropists, and communities in a shared mission to make a difference through art. Each year, the funds raised support organizations like Dråpen i Havet, furthering Beyond Art’s commitment to humanitarian causes.
