Q: Can I attend the auction even if I don’t plan to buy art?

A: Absolutely! You’re welcome to join us, make a small donation at the venue, participate in our lottery or silent auction featuring lower-priced artworks, or simply enjoy an evening of art and learn more about us.

 

Q: Is attendance free?

A: Yes, attending our events is free of charge.

 

Q: Do I need to register?

A: We recommend that you RSVP on our website to help us plan the event, as our resources are limited.

 

Q: How else can I support your cause?

A: You can bid on artwork (both online and in-person), contribute as an artist, volunteer, or help spread the word.

 

Q: How does the auction work? Do I need to be knowledgeable about art?

A: No prior art knowledge is needed! Our expert art committee carefully selects pieces for their quality and variety. The most important thing is choosing art you love, regardless of trends.

 

Q: Do I need to take the artwork home immediately after the auction?

A: We’ll carefully pack your artwork for you to take home after the auction. If you cannot take it, you can arrange to pick it up later with the help of our volunteers.

 

Q: How can I pay for the artwork?

A: We accept payments via VIPPS, cash, and bank transfers. We can also provide a receipt.

 

Q: How can I get to the venue?

A: 

  • By public transport: The closest stops are Rådhuset, Aker Brygge, and Jernbanetorget, depending on your route. From Oslo Central Station (Jernbanetorget), the venue is also within walking distance.

  • By tram: Tram 12 stops at Aker Brygge, a short walk from the venue. 

  • By car: Parking in the immediate area can be limited. Bankplassen P-hus (Bankplassen 1) is one nearby parking option.

 

Q: Can I eat at the venue?

A: Food and drinks will not be provided at the event. However, there are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and bars within walking distance of the venue if you'd like to eat before or after the auction.
